Second time going and we love this place hope to return again soon.
What a great place you have! So quite and the view is gorgeous! Found the cave very interesting. Didn't have much luck with the fish! Oh well, maybe next time. We did whitewater raft 2 days and that was great fun. "USA Raft" and our guide Will was absolutely awesome! Fun! Weather was picture perfect! Hot tub was the perfect finish to each day! Thanks to much!
We had a wonderful time stay in your cabin. It is absolutely beautiful and so clean and taken care of. We loved the out of the way location it gave exactly what we were looking for , quality time to spend together away for the hustle of everyday life. The hot tub was so relaxing and we had lots of fun putting change on the the train track. This was the first time me and my very soon to be husband have been able to get away together (just the 2 of us) and we couldn't have chosen a more wonderful place. We can't wait to come back and visit again.
We were fortunate enough to be spending our one year anniversary here at the Limestone Cabin. It’s everything the website promised and more! The view from the front porch is ever-changing. Next time I’ll bring my paints to try to capture the beauty. There was an incredible thunderstorm on Sunday. The river appeared to have “sheets of glass” floating down it and the winds were constantly changing. It was so cool to just sit on the porch and watch it come in. We went fishing near the cave. We left the poles overnight and was awarded with a decent sized catfish the next morning. On Monday, we needed to go to town for a few supplies. We were ready to roll when we discovered we had locked the keys in the truck! It took a couple of hours and a call to the local locksmith (which was never returned!) After some careful maneuvering and luck we were finally able to retrieve them. It took a couple of hours. We ate like pigs! That’s what the great outdoors does for you- work up an appetite…steaks on the grill, biscuits and gravy-yum! And it tastes so much better when you eat outside. The hot tub was great at the end of the long days. And we loved the music channel on TV. We listened to the 60’s all weekend! We’ll be back! Hopefully to spend several more anniversaries here. Thank you Finley’s for a beautiful place and wonderful memories.
Thank you for sharing-certainly your restored cabin was a dream of a lifetime we appreciated the chance to imagine all the planning and work you did. On the occasion of my 58th birthday-this was the 9th time we have celebrated it in Hot Springs and your cabin was sot lovely to return to when we came back from our dinners in town..yes we did place pennies on the track waved at the engineers and walked the tracks into town. Special memories..we didn't find the cave until this Sunday AM. Thank you both for the directional phone calls and the birthday cupcakes and juice!
We very much enjoyed our stay in the Limestone cabin. We had a nice hike along the Van Cliff trail on Saturday--no one else around at all. Quite a few downed trees from the winter but we were able to scramble around them. Some early Trillium were blooming- white and purple violets. This morning we walked around the mine and buzzard roost. Magical little place there. Heading for a soak in the tubs at the spa before going home today. We will surely be back.
We had a wonderful time here at Limestone cabin. It is so peaceful and beautiful down here. We saw a deer, wild turkeys, Canadian geese, come buzzards and of course the little cat. Hope to come back in the fall to enjoy the leaves.
We had an excellent stay at the Limestone cabin! We ever here to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better spot. We really loved Max Patch and Lovers Leap, fishing, walking up and down the railroad tracks and of course relaxing in the hot tub. We also enjoyed the cave which is only a few feet away from the cabin. The Finley's have done a great job with the cabin and they are very welcoming! Hopefully we will be back to enjoy more of the cabin and all the area has to offer.
We greatly enjoyed our stay here at Limestone cabin. It is secluded and quiet. Oh, so restful! We enjoyed sightseeing, riding through the mountains each day. We relaxed in the hot tub every evening. This is definitely a place to come back to and we will recommend it to our friends.
We had a great time at the Limestone cabin and were blessed with great weather (rare for the beginning of April). Harold Finley was kind, helpful, and very welcoming. We stayed 2 nights and hiked Max Patch on Friday morning. A good moderate hike to get the lungs flowing. It had views of TN, NC and the Great Smokey Mountains (bring your camera). We fished the French Broad with no luck but spoke to a gentleman who caught a 20lb Muskee 2 years ago.
